You could be low in zinc!

Zinc is a mineral which is essential to keep our bodies healthy

Zinc is involved in supporting the immune system, hormone production, breaking down protein, improving our tolerance of stress

Signs of being low in zinc:

  • Stretch marks - Purple colour = severe deficiency

  • White flecks on fingernails

  • Keratosis pilaris- (chicken skin) on tops of arms and/or chest

  • Cystic acne ; large pimples

  • Backne; pimples on back and shoulders

  • Diamond shaped dry skin on shins

  • Poor tolerance of stress (over reactor)

Foods containing high amounts of Zinc;

Oysters, red meat, chicken, pepita and sunflower seeds

Blood tests can confirm your zinc levels and assist in assessing if you need zinc
